History

What started in the 1960's as the dream of two hard working brothers who had immigrated to Mount Gambier is now a well-respected, established construction company.

Clem and Luigi Michielan started out by building many homes, apartments and units throughout Mount Gambier and as time progressed they evolved from humble builders into successful property developers, taking on some more larger and prominent developments. They even started manufacturing their own concrete bricks in the 1970s.

Michielan Constructions are behind some of Mount Gambier’s most iconic buildings, including the International Motel (1983); Centrelink building (1984); Presidential Motel (late 80s); Lakes Resort (mid 90s); Post Office Complex (1997) and the Nurses’ Quarters Redevelopment (2001).
